INFORMATION REGARDING SELLING OUR ITEMS TO OUR US CUSTOMERS
Goods going into the US –
From the 29th August 2025 a major change is US import rules will affect every parcel sent from the UK to American Buyers. The US government is suspending the de minimus threshold – a rule that currently allows goods under $800 to enter the country without duties, taxes or lengthy customs checks.
What this means for our USA customers –
All orders received on our website from US customers will now incur a duty charge that we Metcalfe Models will have to pay US customs before the parcel enters into the USA. Currently this stands at 10% (this is subject to change) All orders will be despatched by Royal Mail post.
In the case of the order exceeding the maximum weight Royal Mail will handle, we will need to send the parcel via courier where all duties will be paid by the customer to the courier once the parcel enters into the USA. We will not charge duty on the final invoice.
Shipping Costs – This will be added and a final invoice e-mailed to you with a payment link.
